PETER YOON <back to crew biographies

Peter Yoon grew up as a classically trained cellist in Poughkeepsie, New York playing in orchestras at Vassar College and at SUNY New Paltz. In his junior year of high school he attended a screenwriting workshop in Amherst, MA changing his focus to writing for the screen. After a year at Bard College concentrating on screenwriting and cinema studies he transferred to NYU where he became interested in the mechanics of the camera. He became a Camera Assistant gaining experience on set working in approximately 80 student films during his two and a half years at NYU. He recently graduated in December 2004 and is currently working as a freelance Camera Assistant. He previously served as the First Assistant Camera and Focus Puller to Jonathan Yi for three films and one music video.
