Lance Lee grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and developed an
appreciation for music at an early age. He began performing and
recording guitar in rock bands at age 14 and met Jonathan Yi in
1998 at a battle of the bands. Though Lance's band was still playing
"ska" at the time, an immediate friendship ensued. Since
then, Lance and Jonathan have worked together on several professional
and non-professional projects and traveled collectively with their
respective bands on the HELLA 2K TOUR of 2000. Lance was once even
a guest star in one of Jonathan's award-winning music videos (ON
THAT STAGE, 2003). Lance currently lives in Santa Cruz, California
where he is studying film at the University of California, Santa
Cruz. He writes and records music for short films and commericals
in his bedroom, but this smalltime music work on Jonathan's commercials
has been featured on television multiple times and the collaboration
will continue with "SHIFT" to a much greater extent. He's
anticipated this project since its inception in the summer of 2003
and is excited to be involved.
